In this seminar, the speakers will discuss how companies and entrepreneurs can benefit from the opportunites
that social media provide. They will cover various ways that companies can use social media, for example to
raise funds, test the viability of their product, or promote their brand. They will also offer advice how social
media can be used most effectively.

Edward Boon is professor in Marketing and Entrepreneurship at Webster University Geneva. He has
published research on crowdfunding, internet business models, and online communities.

John Elbing is a start-up and digital marketing consultant. He founded the company Standpoint, and offers
coaching services to start-ups through CTI and Fongit.

Alex Hantson is a digital marketing specialist, who performed digital marketing services for various events,
including the Lift conference and TEDx, and is currently working with a startup in Augmented Reality (AR).
